Ingredients½ lb steak, minced
¼ cup stock or water, if necessary
1 cup biscuit or bread crumbs
Salt and pepper
2 eggs, beaten lightly
1 onion, chopped finely
1 tbsp chopped eschallot and celery
1 tbsp piquante sauce
- Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly.
- Press into a well greased loaf pan. Bake in a moderately hot oven until cooked.
- Turn out onto a serving dish and garnish with lettuce leaves.
Note: Hard boiled eggs may be positioned in centre of loaf before baking.
