Plantain Flour Porridge

Ingredients

½ pt water, or milk and water
1 oz plantain flour
½ tsp salt
1 level tbsp sugar, if desired

Preparation

  • Put the water to boil.
  • Separately, blend the plantain flour with a little cold water to make a smooth paste.
  • Remove the boiling water from the heat and pour onto the plantain flour mixture, stirring well. Add salt or sugar.
  • Return to the heat and boil for about 2 minutes.
  • Serve with a little hot milk added.
