Rum Sauce

Ingredients

¼ pt water
2 tbsp rum
1 tsp arrowroot or cornstarch
1 oz sugar

Preparation

  • Simmer the water, sugar and rum for 7 - 10 minutes.
  • Blend the arrowroot or cornstarch with a tablespoon of cold water, until it forms a smooth paste.
  • Add the hot liquid to the paste. Return to the pan and boil for 3 minutes. Colour if desired.
